3 Goals Before 30

With my 30th birthday less than 3 years away, I thought it’d be fun to set 3 long-term fitness goals that I’d love to achieve before the big day.

There is quite a bit of time to achieve and to change my mind but here they are as of right…..now!

1) Run a sub 2 hour half-marathon. My best (and only) time is 2:00 and at that time, it was really easy. Now? Not so much so I have some serious work cut out for me.

2) Bike a half century. Who am I?! To do this I’ll probably need to upgrade from the Huffy I currently ride (yes, and race in) so thank goodness for having some time to save money. I’m also going to use my friend Lou’s 365 mile goal – for every mile she runs, and her goal is 365 in a year, she puts a dollar in a jar – so for every mile I bike, I’m going to put a dollar in a jar. I better get cranking because bikes are expensive!

3) Hold a yoga handstand. I know this is ridiculously easy for some, but I’ve never been able to do it. I can’t even do a cartwheel. To achieve this, I’ll need to start attending yoga frequently and build that strength!

And that’s my plan, Stan!
